Paul Grimm, LL.M., is a research assistant with a master's degree at the chair and an exam candidate at Viadrina. He publishes at the intersection of law and sustainability in English and German. Previously, he worked for Prof. Patrick Hilbert and the Legal Learning Center at Viadrina. He has been studying law at Viadrina since the 2020/21 winter semester and completed his major in State and Administration (14.9) in December 2025. Prior to this, after obtaining his Bachelor of Laws (10.65), he completed a Master of Laws at University College Dublin (First Class Honours), including a six-month stay at Melbourne Law School. His studies focused on sociology of law, comparative constitutional law, criminology, and human rights. He received continuous support for his studies from the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation and, at times, from Linklaters LLP and the Humanist Study Fund Robert Blum. During his studies, he participated several times in the Law Clinic ‘Misjudgment and Retrial’ and the Law Clinic ‘Human Rights in Global Supply Chains’ and completed internships with attorney Pamela Pabst and the law firm Gleiss Lutz. In addition, he was involved in the Senate, the Faculty Council, and various university initiatives.
