Academic Staff MemberJonathan Eziashi is a doctoral candidate under Prof. Dr. Jan-Erik Schirmer and has been a research assistant at the chair since June 2024. His research focuses on stock corporation law. In his work, he deals in particular with issues of corporate governance and corporate social responsibility. He examines how social transformation processes can be addressed legally and reflected in the structures of corporate management and supervision.
Mr. Eziashi first studied business law in Berlin and then law in Potsdam (2016–2023). He completed his studies with a focus on corporate and tax law and was awarded and supported by the Potsdam University Scholarship during his studies. He was also a member of the “Smart Room Legal Tech” working group, which dealt with legal issues relating to digital technologies and was sponsored by the law firm ADVANT Beiten (2021–2023).
After completing his first state examination in 2023, Mr. Eziashi initially worked as a research assistant in corporate law at the Berlin office of Hengeler Mueller. He then moved to Professor Schirmer's chair in June 2024 as part of his doctoral studies. In the spring of 2026, he will be working as a visiting scholar at the University of Vienna as part of a research stay.
